'The ideal man project' begint vorm te krijgen. Graag wil ik laten zien waar ik aan werk .
Toen ik in mijn werk met het thema 'man' begon, keek ik om me heen en zag vooral helden op sokkels. Nu het onderwerp ' de ideale man' is ben ik begonnen om die sokkel als uitgangspunt te nemen. De structuur van die sokkel is de drager van een barok beeldverhaal over mannen, in kleine schetsen van situaties die jou als toeschouwer laten zien hoe ik naar mannen kijk.
The artist's work for 'the ideal man project' is starting to take off. I would like to show you the piece I'm working on. Early next week I hope to have some pictures of the wonderful 'work in progress' of my colleagues.
When I started with the male figure as a theme in my work, I looked around and the only thing I saw where 'hero's on huge plints'. Now, with 'the ideal man' as a subject, I started with making one of these huge plints.
I use the structure of the plint to tell a baroque story, in sketches of situations, about men and how I look at them.
